03.50 น. ตื่นนอนรับอากาศอันบริสุทธิ์และอากาศแสนจะเย็นยะเยือก(เวอร์เลย) ทำธุระส่วนตัวของตนเองให้เรียบร้อย เมื่อเพื่อนเปิดไฟแสงสว่างที่หลอดไฟก็สาดส่องเข้าสู่ดวงตา ทำให้เพื่อนแต่ละคนนั้นที่กำลังนอนอยู่ต้องเบิกตาตื่นขึ้น แต่บ้างคนก็มีวิธีแก้ โดยการดึงผ้าห่มมาปิด 555+ แต่เพื่อนที่เปิดไฟก็ไม่ยอมลดละการปลุกเพื่อนแต่อย่างใด พยายามต่อดึงผ้าห่มออก แล้วก็แกล้งสาระพัดวิธีจนคนที่นอนยุนั้นต้องยอมตื่นขึ้น (สุดยอด)

04.00 น. เพื่อนๆ ก็พร้อมกันเพื่อทำวัตรเย็นในตอนเช้า เมื่อทำวัตรเช้าเสร็จเวลาก็ผ่านไปพอสมควร พ่อครูก็ได้ให้ผ่อนคลายอิริยาบถ แล้วให้ไปทำธุระส่วนตัวให้เรียบร้อย จากคนที่ไม่ได้อาบน้ำ หรือกลัวหนาวในตอนเช้า (แต่บางคนก็ไม่อาบ) 555+ หรือเพื่อนๆบางคนก็ไปนอนเข้าสมาธิอยู่บนที่พัก ไม่รู้นอนสมาธิไปจนถึงขั้นไหน (เหอๆ)

07.30 น. ช่วงเวลารับประทานข่าวเช้า ก็มานั่งรวมกันรับประทานอาหารกับเพื่อนๆ และอาจารย์

08.30 น. ต่อมาก็มาทำสมาธิ เริ่มด้วยการนอนสมาธิ เหอๆ ทานข้าวมาอิ่มๆ หนังท้องตึง หนังตาก็หย่อน (หลับชัว อิอิ) เมื่อนอนสมาธิแล้ว ต่างคนต่างตั้งใจปฏิบัติอย่างเต็มที่ พื้นนั้นก็แสนจะเย็น แต่เมื่อเวลาผ่านไปชัวไม่กี่นาที เริ่มมีเสียงแปลกๆ หรือเสียงกรนจากทางด้านซ้ายมือ ของข้าพเจ้า (เต็มที่เลยนะ เสียงนั้น) จากนั้นก็เดินจงกรมแบบเป็นจังหวะ ตั้งแต่จังหวะที่ 1 จนถึง จังหวะที่ 4 (เดินอย่างนั้นไปๆ มาๆเหนื่อยเหมือนกันนะ) แล้วก็มานั่งสมาธิประมาณ 20-30 นาที

11.00 น. ก็มาชมวีดีทัศน์ ชั้นภูมิต่างๆ เช่น ชั้นพรหมณ์ ชั้นภูมิสวรรค์ ชั้นภูมิมนุษย์ ชั้นภูมินรก ซึ่งได้บรรยายรายละเอียดต่างให้กับนักศึกษา อาจารย์ และผู้เข้ารับการอบรม

12.00 น. ทานข้าวเทียง จากที่อิ่มๆช่วงเช้าอยู่แล้ว ก็มาถึงข่าวเที่ยงสงสัยทานได้นิดเดี่ยวแน่เลย ต้องทานให้ได้เยอะที่สุด เพราะตอนเย็นอยู่ในศีล 8 จะทานไม่ได้

13.30 น. ฟังเทศจากพระวัดถ้ำเหวโขงเจียม โดยการนั่งสมาธิฟังเทศ ทำให้จิตใจนิ่ง สงบ เยือกเย็น โดยเสียงเทศของพระอาจารย์นิ่งมาก ฟังเสียงพระอาจารย์แล้วนั้นเหมือนกับพระอาจารย์มีจิตใจ และเสียงที่ละซึ่งจากกิเลส มีพลังอำนาจในทางเสียงมาก

15.30 น. ดูวีดีทัศน์เกี่ยวกับชาติบ้านเมือง ทำให้ระลึกถึงบรรพบุรุษเราที่เสียสละเลือดเนื้อเพื่อแผ่นดินไทย การเสียงแผ่นดินไทย 14 ครั้ง ที่ตราตรึงในหัวใจของชาวไทย ยิ่งชำใจในครั้งที่ 14 นี้เสียเขาพระวิหารให้กับกัมพูชา จากคนเพียงบางกลุ่มที่หวังผลประโยชน์ จากพระครูได้ชี้แนวทางในการให้รักบ้านเกิดเมืองนอน ไม่นิยมของจากต่างประเทศจนเกินไป มาครอบงำวัฒนธรรมไทย หากเรายังมัวแต่หมกหมุ่นกับสิ่งของหรือวัฒนธรรมต่างประเทศในไม่ช้าประเทศไทยอาจจะเสียดินแดนครั้งต่อไป ในสิ่งที่ข้าพเจ้าและเพื่อนๆได้รับฟังคำชี้แนะจากพระครูก็จะสืบทอดต่อจากพระครู ที่ได้ชี้แนวทางเพื่อประเทศชาติครับ

16.30 น. นั่งสมาธิและเดินจงกรม จังหวะที่ 1 - 5 (จิตใจ สงบ หลังจากที่ปลุกใจรักชาติ หุหุ)

17.00 น. ทำธุระส่วนตัว ได้ไปกราบหลวงปู่คำคะนิง และบริจาคเงินทำบุญในการสร้างโรงทานให้กับวัด

19.00 น. ทำวัตรเย็น

21.00 น. เจ้าอาวาสได้มาเทศแนวทางในการละซึ่งจากกิเลส และแนวทางในการใช้ชีวิต

22.00 น. ได้เข้าที่พัก เพื่อพักผ่อน เมื่อขึ้นมาสู่ที่พักสนทนากับเพื่อนๆ เล็กๆ น้อยๆ ก่อนนอน

Sandisk punts next gen SSD

Sandisk has unveiled the next generation of Solid State Drives (SSDs) aimed at the
phenomenally successful netbook market.


Available in 8, 16, 32 and 64GB flavours, Sandisk's new pSSD drives feature SATA interfaces that allow them to be used as drop-in replacements for standard rotational HDDs.


According to Sandisk, the technology on which the Second Generation Modular SSDs is based uses a patented All Bit Line (ABL) architecture with advanced proprietary programming algorithms and multi-level data storage management schemes to yield MLC NAND flash memory chips that don't sacrifice performance or reliability.


The new drives are currently being built in Japan by a partnership between Sandisk and Toshiba, and they should be out in the wild by February.


No prices are available at time of writing, but Sandisk marketeers tell us that they will be 'aggressivley priced' whatever that means.

"Vista Capable" suit hobbled

A judge has ruled that the US case against Microsoft's 'Vista Capable' program can not proceed as a single class action lawsuit.


The ruling, issued by US district judge Marsha Pechman, denies the class-action status of the suit and leaves the plaintiffs to pursue individual cases against the company rather than a single case on behalf of a large number of plaintiffs.


Because the ruling leaves just six individuals to pursue separate cases, the decision is being widely regarded as a victory for Microsoft.


The case centers around Microsoft's classification of certain PCs as being "Vista Capable," a distinction meant to show which machines would be able to run its latest operating system.


Because there were several different versions of Windows Vista released, the branding did not specifically define which systems could run all of the new features in the operating system.


The case has lead to several embarrassing disclosures from Microsoft, including concern over the program both internally and from external retailers and sales partners.

Skype expands per-minute access to Aussie hotspots

Aussie Mac owners can now use their Skype credit to pay for per-minute access to around 360 wireless hotspots nationwide.

The new feature is called Skype Access and is available in the Skype 2.8 Beta for Mac OS X, released today.

Users of ‘other operating systems’ will find the capability built into a new version of their Skype client ‘sometime in 2009’, the company said in a statement.

Skype Access works by actively scanning for available Boingo hotspots and presenting a pop-up dialogue box displaying the price per minute to use the Boingo network.

It theoretically means Skype users can make calls from a wireless hotspot on a per-minute basis without signing up to a full wireless plan, such as Boingo's US$59.00 per month ' Global ' offering.

Boingo currently has agreements in place covering access to in excess of 360 hotspots in Australia.

Most are owned and operated by Azure Wireless, although independent hotspots also exist.

Both Skype and Boingo are said to have set a flat, global rate of US$0.19 per minute for network access, ‘which will vary based on currency’. There are no connection fees or monthly charges to use Skype Access, the firms said.

A Skype spokesperson told iTnews that the cost per-minute of using Skype Access for Boingo hotspots in Australia is $0.29 per minute (excluding VAT).

IE7, Firefox get security fixes

The two most popular browsers on the market each received security updates on Wednesday.

Both Mozilla and Microsoft posted patches to address flaws in the latest versions of Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox.

The Mozilla patch addresses some eight security flaws in versions 2 and 3 of the browser. Among the fixes are several vulnerabilities which could be targeted in cross-site scripting attacks, as well as one which could be exploited to remotely execute code.

Ironically, the update also brings with it a drop in security protection for some Firefox users. The 2.0.0.19 update signifies the end of security support for the browser.

Additionally, Mozilla will be shutting down anti-phishing protections for the Firefox 2 due the Google ending support for the browser's phishing site blacklist.

Mozilla is advising any users who haven't already upgraded to the latest version of the browser to do so.

Meanwhile, Microsoft issued an out-of-cycle update for Internet Explorer 7. The patch was first announced yesterday in response to a series of attacks in the wild on an unpatched flaw.

The update addresses a vulnerability in the way IE7 handles certain text files. If exploited, an attacker could use the flaw to remotely execute code on a targeted system.

The release comes just eight days after Microsoft issued its monthly patch for separate flaws in IE, Office and Windows.

Trend Micro signs up with BigFix

Content security vendor Trend Micro sought to broaden its appeal to large enterprises today by announcing a partnership deal with security management firm BigFix that will see Trend's endpoint security tools integrated with the BigFix platform.

The first of these tools, Trend Micro Web Protection Module, will integrate with the BigFix platform to allow IT managers in large enterprises to easily deploy, manage and control their endpoints, thanks to the platform's single-agent architecture, according to Trend Micro.

The BigFix platform also features consolidated single-console views and the power to scale the solution to cope with over 10,000 endpoints, the company said.

Andrew Hanson, research analyst at IDC, argued that the management capabilities of endpoint protection suites is a substantial differentiator.

"By combining multiple correlated technologies into a single management framework, endpoint protection platforms have the promise of increasing security while lowering complexity, cost and administrative overhead," he said.

Google improves password security

Google has unveiled new administration tools designed to improve the use of passwords, in order to boost security for customers using its Google Apps hosted enterprise software offerings.

"Helping businesses, schools and organisations to keep information safe is critical, and we've been providing Google Apps customers with a spectrum of capabilities to help ensure that only authorised users have access to information accessible from the cloud," wrote Eran Feigenbaum, director of security for Google Apps, in a blog post.

"These include Secure Sockets Layer options, single sign-on capabilities, and administrative controls for how widely users can share and publish information from Google Docs, Google Sites and Google Calendar."

Google has also added a new layer of security with administrator controls that allow enterprises to define the length of passwords and analyse their strength.

The company offered a number of password selection tips. "The first step in protecting your online privacy is creating a safe password, i.e. one that a computer program or persistent individual won't easily be able to guess in a short period of time," the advice reads.

"To help you choose a secure password, we've created a feature that lets you know visually how safe your password is as soon as you create it."

One example, which may seem obvious, is "not to use a password listed as an example of how to pick a good password".

The relative strength of a password can be determined automatically in real time as Google's account authentication system constantly analyses password use and attempts to break them.
